Today is my father's birthday. My father is a policeman. He went to work early in the morning.

今天是爸爸的生日，爸爸是一名警察，一大清早爸爸就去上班了。

My mother and I have already discussed how to celebrate my father's birthday. What we discussed was: first, prepare the cake for Dad, set the cup, and I hid behind the door with the flowers. But dad didn't come back after work. We waited and waited until nine o'clock. Dad still didn't come back. I asked my mother: "why hasn't dad come back?" Mom said, "your father may have received some tasks. Please wait a moment." At this time, the doorbell suddenly rang. Mom looked out of the door. It was Dad. Mother whispered, "ready!" How mom opened the door? Dad came in. I jumped out from behind the door and said, "Happy birthday, Dad!" Then he gave the flowers to Dad. My father was surprised and happy. Then my mother turned off the light and lit the birthday candle. Our family happily ate a big birthday cake.

我和妈妈早就商量好怎样给爸爸过生日了。我们商量的是：先给爸爸准备好蛋糕，摆好杯子，我拿着花躲在门后。可到了下班的时间爸爸没回来，我们等啊等，等到了九点爸爸依然没有回来。我问妈妈：“爸爸为什么还不回来？”妈妈说：“你爸爸说不定接到了什么任务，再等一会儿吧。”这时门铃突然响了起来，妈妈从门里往外一看，原来是爸爸。妈妈小声地说：“准备好！”当妈妈打开门爸爸走了进来，我从门后跳了出来说:“爸爸，生日快乐！”接着把花给了爸爸。爸爸又惊又喜，这时妈妈把灯关上点燃了生日蜡烛。我们一家三口高高兴兴地吃起了大大的生日蛋糕。

Things happened in Spring Festival Day, I went shopping with my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. It was a rare occasion because we hardly only get together few times in a year as a big family. On the way to the shopping mall, we watched the lion dance. Overall, we had an unforgettable day.

事情发生在春节那天，我和我的父母、祖父母、阿姨、叔叔和堂兄弟一起去购物。这是一个难得的机会，因为作为一个大家庭，我们一年中几乎只聚过几次。在去购物中心的路上，我们观看了舞狮。总的来说，我们度过了难忘的一天。

This afternoon, our class all come to play the game of Eagle catching chickens.

今天下午，我们班都来玩老鹰捉小鸡的游戏。

We first chose a chicken mother and an eagle. The next students are all cute chicken babies. The game started. When we first played it, we were afraid of being captured by the fierce eagle, so we tried our best to follow the mother chicken. Not good! Seeing that fierce and clumsy eagle is about to catch a chicken baby, our brave chicken mother sees it and runs to use her wings to protect the chicken baby who is about to be captured by the eagle, and then drives her wings out of our chicken.

我们先选了一个鸡妈妈和一只老鹰，剩下的同学都当鸡妈妈可爱的鸡宝宝。游戏开始了，刚玩的时候，我们心里都害怕被那只凶狠的老鹰抓走，所以我们就拼命的跟在鸡妈妈后面。不好了！眼看那只凶狠又笨拙的老鹰马上要抓住一只鸡宝宝了，我们勇敢的鸡妈妈看见后，飞快的跑过去用翅膀来保护快要被老鹰抓走的鸡宝宝，再用翅膀赶出了我们小鸡的周围。

In this way, we all relaxed our vigilance and ran away to play, forgetting that the fierce and clumsy eagle had never defeated. After playing for a while, the eagle came again. This time, it came quietly to catch chickens. It first saw the mother chicken cooking at home, so it ran quickly. Just about to catch a chicken, the mother chicken came to ask the chickens to go back to dinner.

就这样我们都放松了警惕，跑到一边去玩，忘了那只凶狠又笨拙的老鹰从来没有服输过。玩了一会儿，老鹰又来了，这次它是悄悄的来抓小鸡。它先看到鸡妈妈在家做饭，于是飞快的跑过去，正要抓到一只小鸡的时候，鸡妈妈来叫小鸡们回去吃晚饭了。

The eagle said, "it looks like I'm going to be hungry today!"

老鹰说：“看来今天要饿肚子了！”

My summer holiday begun on July 7th. I love summer holiday because I don't have to go to school and I can enjoy myself with my friends. I often spend the mornings doing my homework and I always watch TV in the afternoon at home because it's very hot outside. And in the evening, I go swimming with my family and then hang out with my friends. I love swimming very much.

我的暑假从7月7日开始。我喜欢暑假，因为我不用去学校，可以和朋友玩。我经常在上午做作业，下午在家看电视，因为外面很热。傍晚，我和家人去游泳、然后和朋友去逛街。我很喜欢游泳。

My plan for August is travelling. I travel with my family every summer holiday. I like travelling because I can go to different places and meet different people. Sometimes I make good friends during the journey. And it's very sad to say goodbye to them when the journey ends.

我八月份的计划是去旅游。我每个暑假都和家人去旅游。我喜欢旅游是因为我可以去不同的地方认识不同的人。有时候我在旅途中交到了好朋友。旅途结束和他们告别的时候我觉得很难过。

In China, a lot of students are complaining about the difficulty to master English. They know how important English is, but they just feel hard to learn it. However for many foreingers, when they start to learn Chinese, some even speak it very well. To conquer Chinese has been the popular slogan for them. As Chinese economy develops so fast, the foreigners have realized the trend, so mastering Chinese is the best way to seek for cooperation. Even though it has been admitted that Chinese is the most difficulty language to learn, still a lot of foreigners make up their minds and learn it well. As the saying that there is will, there is a way. So when we are complaining about the difficulty to learn second language, just thinking about the foreigners how to learn Chinese.

在中国，很多学生抱怨掌握英语很难，他们也知道英语是多么的重要，但就是觉得很难学。然而对于很多外国人来说，他们开始学习中文，有些人却能够说得很好。征服汉语一直是流行的口号。随着中国经济的快速发展，外国人已经意识到这一趋势，所以掌握好汉语是寻求合作的最好方法。就算大家都说汉语是最难学的语言，仍然还有很多的外国人下定决心去学好它。俗话说有志者，事竟成。所以当我们抱怨学习第二语言困难的时候，想想外国人是如何学习汉语的。
